At the Zoo Aquarium of Madrid you can peek into the life of all manner of creatures be they seafaring or land-roaming or airborne. Located in the Casa de Campo park, 300m from the Madrid Fairground, it is one of the largest zoological parks in the world, for the number of species and for its constant research, conservation, reproduction and education. With 20 hectares of space, the facilities include a Zoo, Aquarium, Dolphinarium and Aviary. More than 500 species from all five continents and 6,000 specimens are represented here. There is a new Koala exhibit and other rare animals such as the Bengal or albino tigers, and a new habitat for the gorillas. Its Aquarium includes a special tropical marine fauna exhibit, with more than 2 million litres of sea water and 200 species, including scary sharks and a beautiful coral garden. The Dolphinarium can seat 3,000 people, and the Aviary offers free flight exhibitions with exotic birds and birds of prey.
