El Bonano in Plaza del Humilladero, 4 is great on Sunday morning after the Rastro flea market with a fantastic environment and serves up great tapas. El Almendro13 on C/Almendro 13 is one of the most recommendable in the ‘hood- try the huevos rotos (“broken” eggs) and wash it down with fino or manzanilla, crisp white wines from the south (careful they close “early” at midnight). Tempranillo in Cava Baja, 38 has a long wine list, some by the glass and mushroom dishes which melt in your mouth.
