Hostal Ginebra is a 2 star hostel located at the foot of the very central Madrid’s Fuencarral Street, possibly the hippest street for shopping with an unbeatable location. A short walk to the Puerta del Sol, the hostel is in the centre of the action. You can easily walk to many of the attractions the Spanish capital has to offer: the Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, Opera, Prado Museum, Plaza España and Retiro Park. The Thyssen and Reina Sofia Museums are also accessible on foot or by metro. The area in which is located is an excellent base for experiencing the notorious nightlife in Madrid. The Malasaña area is a bit bohemian, full of rock bars of all kinds and charming little restaurants for a bite to eat. Chueca is a little more upscale and is where many of the city’s gay populations call home. There are fashionable fusion restaurants and plenty of bars, gay, straight and mixed in this, one of the city’s most lively areas.
This simple and affordable Hostal Ginebra offers twin, double and triple rooms (with single beds) which are very well maintained and comfortable. All the rooms come with a private bathroom, TV, internet, telephone, air conditioning, fans, heating and safe. There is a 24 hour reception, a left luggage office, TV lounge, and there is also internet available in public areas. Those travelling by car can park at the public car park just 20 metres from the hotel.
