The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum is one of the most famous art galleries in Madrid and it is part of the prestigious Golden Triangle of Art (that is the Prado Museum, Reina Sofia Museum and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum).

Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza (1921–2002, Dutch art collector and industrial with a Hungarian title) started this amazing art collection that nowadays we can admire in the museum. It was his own private collection of art but later on he signed an agreement with the Spanish government and gave the collection to the museum. His widow, called Carmen Cervera (a former Miss Spain also known as Tita) is still involved with the museum and takes good care of the masterpieces.

In the beautiful Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum you can find amazing works of art by some of the most famous artists: Picasso (Pablo Ruiz y Picasso, 1881–1973, Spanish painter and sculptor, Cubism), Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890, Post-Impressionist Dutch painter), Monet (Claude Oscar Monet, 1840–1926, French Impressionist painter), Rembrandt (Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, 1606 or 1607–1669, Dutch painter and printmaker), Rubens (Peter Paul Rubens, 1577–1640, Flemish painter, Baroque style), Tizian (Tiziano Vecelli or Vecellio 1488/90–1576, Italian Renaissance), Renoir (Pierre-Auguste Renoir, 1841–1919, French artist, Impressionist style), among many others.
