For those looking to take advantage of everything Madrid has to offer, from historical buildings, to art, to tapas, to nightlife, the Hostal Aranzazu could not be in a better location. Literally wedged between the modern art museum, the Reina Sofia (the collection is most famous for Picasso’s Guernica) and one of the city’s biggest night clubs, Kapital, you really do have it all, at crawling distance (if need be). The Puerta del Sol is also very close to this area, just a few minutes walk or a short metro ride. ...more details > Stroll up the tree lined Paseo del Prado (just around the corner) past the Botanical Gardens and you’re soon at the touted Prado Museum, chock full of works by the great Spanish masters and some others such as Goya, Velazquez and Bosch. The Lavapies area offers great tapas bars and lots of cheap eats, not to mention some of the best nightlife in the city. Atocha train station is a stone’s throw away, and you can also easily take day trips to Toledo, Aranjuez, or even Cordoba or Sevilla in the AVE (bullet train). The hostel offers singles, doubles, triples and quadruples. Some of the rooms have a full en suite bathroom with bathtub or shower, others have a bathroom with bathtub or shower and a sink (shared WC outside the room), and there are also rooms with a sink inside and a full shared bathroom outside in the corridor. La posizione e´ piu´ che buona. Il primo giorno appena sveglio si e´ rotta la serratura della camera, mi hanno cambiato stanza ma ho conservato le stesse chiavi (!). I gestori molto disponibili e sempre presenti La pulizia della stanza buona e tutto sommato anche quella dei bagni in comune. Ai prossimi ospiti suggerirei se possono di chiedere una camera interna perche´ le strade su cui affacciano le stanze sono trafficate e rumorose. |

Das Zimmer war nicht wirklich sauber. Beim Waschbecken kein warmes Wasser. Wasser zum duschen war auch nicht wirklich heiß. |

La zona e' ottima, la metro Atocha e' vicinissima, anche ristoranti e il centro. L'ostello invece era un po' scomodo, l'acqua e il riscaldamento tiepidi, la doccia in camera non aveva la tendina, in camera neanche una sedia per poggiare qualche indumento e poi era al 4° piano senza ascensore... |

La habitación está bien para la relación precio-calidad pero la verdad es que no funcionaba la calefacción y la ventana no cerraba bien y era mortal. además en la habitación no había agua caliente.... |

location was good, however I had to wait nearly 1 hour before someone answered the front door. Room was overlooking the main street, and extremely noisy. |
