About Hostal Dulcinea |
|
The conveniently located Hostal Dulcinea offers clean rooms just 2 minutes from the Prado Museum, 5 from the Reina Sofia Museum and a stone's throw from Puerta del Sol, the centre of Madrid, Spain. On the same street, the house of Spain's greatest dramatist, Lope de Vega, is ironically on Calle de Cervantes (rival author of Don Quijote) and is well worth visiting for its reconstruction of life in 17th-century Madrid. San Isidro Chapel is a XVII century by architect José de Villarreal to house the remains of Madrid’s patron saint, San Isidro. ...more details > For fabulous food and drink, head over to the nearby Plaza de Santa Ana, which is especially lively on Friday and Saturday nights. Loads of tapas bars dot this area, with specialties including boquerones en vinagre (vinegar marinated sardines), patatas al alioli (garlic mayonnaise potatoes) and jamon serrano, the king of cured hams. Wash it all down with a caña (small beer) or vino tinto (red wine) and you’re ready to move on to the next tapas bar.Friendly owners Jose and Maria are happy to accommodate with their basic English, and maintain the hostel’s rooms impeccably clean. This 2 star hostel with 23 rooms was totally renovated in 1995. Rooms include a full en suite bathroom, heating, fans and TV. There are 2 parking garages close to the hostel. There is 24 hour reception, free wireless Internet access and a safety deposit box at the disposal of guest. Convenient metro Antón Martín (line 1) is close by, as are metros Banco de España and Sevilla. < hide more details

Nearby metro, center, musea, easy to find. Luggage storage was possible.
The only negative thing was that we can't regulate the heating on ourself and the pillow was bad. |
